  • Bone dysplasia consisting of multiple oval lucencies separated by dense, bony ridges
  • Associated with
    • Neural tube defects, especially myelomeningocele
    • Chiari II malformation
    • Encephalocele
  • Not related to degree of concomitant hydrocephalus
  • Inner table more affected than outer
